[FEATURE] It's Official! ABM is the Power Strand of 2020

Image
From the year 2016, the AMA Computer College Makati Senior High School department is traditionally declaring the Power Strand(Power House) at the end of every school year. Each strand is being appraised for their performance in both academic and extra-curricular activities.  The criteria for this are broad and vary every school year. The well-known bases for this title range from the number of places earned in different campus competitions and outside, number of events joined by the strand, average academic standing, and many more.  This seems not to be a big deal to some, but the SHS department created this for the students to have the character of being competitive and collaborative. To honor their flag that signifies the pride of their strand. To be an inspiration for progress to their fellow schoolmates. The title for the Power Strand is habitually declared on the Annual Recognition Rites and Awarding Ceremony. However, the COVID crisis has canceled all events listed in the last 3

[NEWS] Start of Full-Online Classes for SHS and College - moved to July 1

Image
Manila, Philippines The opening of classes for Academic Year 2020-2021 for Senior High School and College was moved to July 1.  Despite the former announcement that the classes will open in the first week of June, the AMA Education System sets the day-to-day data from the IATF into consideration. Last May 11, the IATF supports the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan of the Department of Education (DepEd) to start the classes on August 24. However, on Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte has responded "I will not allow the opening of classes where students will be near each other," he added. "Unless I am sure that they are really safe, it's useless to be talking about the opening of (Physical) classes." The full-online strategy of the AMA Education System eyes to lessen the potential risk of physical classes even after the DepEd's suggestion to open the classes on August 24. It is part of AMAES Learning Continuity Plan in both SHS and College, to move the o

[NEWS] AMAES - The School Year Starts in June, Full-Online Set-up for Classes

Image
May 20, 2020 Manila, Philippines Last March 15, 2020, the AMAES announced that its school networks will start their school year in June.  DepEd and CHED call for schools and universities to make certain that the learning of the students won't go idle. Amidst COVID-19 crisis, learning must proceed under the new normal. Last May 11, DepEd advised private schools that they may commence the classes as early as June, but none must be held through the traditional F2F setting. The students are expecting that this issue will be directed and consider upon launching the Full-online strategy on June 8 for SHS, since the majority of the students in Senior High are voucher recipients from public schools. The previous platform of

[NEWS] Everything You Need to Know about the "New Normal" in AMAES

Image
May 14, 2020 Manila, Philippines The ECQ in Metro Manila will be modified on May 16, 2020. Government officials from different LGUs are about to encounter new features of this policy to control the crowd - from workers to private individuals. However, the AMA Education System made sure that the learning of their students won't go idle during MECQ. Despite the DepEd's recommendation to start the classes on August 24, 2020, the classes in AMAES will open earlier, June 8, 2020, for Senior High School to be exact. The classes are to be delivered Full-Online. This is to protect the students from making contact with the crowd areas. Enrollment is accessible online through Discipulus and payment was also devised to be completed online through Paynamics. This "New Normal" of Full-Online delivery will persist until further notice, or until the government allows the education sector to operate face-to-face in a classroom setting.
