Each strand is being appraised for their performance in both academic and extra-curricular activities.  The criteria for this are broad and vary every school year. May 20, 2020 Manila, Philippines Last March 15, 2020, the AMAES announced that its school networks will start their school year in June.  DepEd and CHED call for schools and universities to make certain that the learning of the students won't go idle. Amidst COVID-19 crisis, learning must proceed under the new normal. Last May 11, DepEd advised private schools that they may commence the classes as early as June, but none must be held through the traditional F2F setting. So the AMAES will follow a full online learning approach.
