The AMAES is ready if a month suspension will happen due to COVID19 threat
COVID-19 cases in the Philippines keep on rising, this concerns not just the Department of Education but also President Rodrigo Duterte. Last March 9, 2020, the Malacanang declared a week suspension in all levels at Metro Manila, followed by the advisory of AMAES that all employees are not required to work until March 14, 2020.
The school officials are confident that the school is a COVID free-zone, however, they cannot disregard the fact that most of the students and employees are using public transport and are going to crowded places on their way to the school. As per the Department of Health, this is where the virus is usually transmitted, advising the citizens to distance themselves from crowded places.
So, what will happen if a month-suspension was announced? Or if the government decided not to send students in school until the end of the school year?
The AMA Education System has an alternative and known for being one of the leading schools offering online courses in the Philippines. For both Senior High School and College program, they’ve been practicing such a platform since the launch of Online Education.
Modules, additional content, and further readings are available on this platform. Also, weekly assessments – from quizzes to examinations - are included in OEd.
According to our source, effective March 12, 2020, and until the coronavirus threat is gone, all courses will be 100% online. This is yet to be verified until the official memorandum is release.
