Medicine is considered to be a very demanding field. We somehow feel the years of hard work they dedicate to earn the title "Doctor of Medicine". As our society grew and needed more care than ever, the AMA School of Medicine is helping our country by providing quality educated medicine students. Today, as they celebrate their graduation, the feeling of ease and inspiration are swarming the blanket of guests who are with the graduates as they went through their education journey. The ease of hard work will soon be converted into a noble profession as they experience the authenticity of their chosen field. The vibrancy of the flowers arranged on stage matches the colors of the academic gowns that are filling up the venue. February 19, 2020, is the day to remember as they walk to fulfill their duty in the medical field. The theme; Cultural Diversity; Quality Medical Education for All signifies their 4-year journey. The diversity that composed the class is very rich; Pakistan, Indian, and Filipino collaborate to carry out one another's dream. The diverse culture, beliefs, and color was never a hindrance to this class. Red, green, and yellow academic gowns seem to be playing with our eyes. The combination of the immense professionalism and sense of academe gives a touch to AMA Education System's academic stand.
The program starts with the processional. The names of the 40 graduates are called as they cruise the aisle. There is something in the smirk of their eyes that give hints about the adventure they had. After the graduates, the faculty members of the AMA School of Medicine and AMA Computer College were beckoned. The non-academic officials of the AMA Makati were also given recognition as they walk the aisle. The Dean of ASM - Dr. Eleus Hilgreja Fajardo -delivered her welcoming remarks leaving awe to everyone. Mr. Darwin V. Dominguez - the School Administrator of AMA Makati, First Vice President and COO of the AMAES - delivered the message of Dr. Amable C. Aguiluz IX - Vice Chairman and CEO of AMAES - emphasizing the unity amidst diversity exhibited by the graduating class. As the message is being delivered, the graduates can't help to smile at their classmates. Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz V - The Chairman and Founder of the AMAES - send his gratitude and message through the presence of Mr. Felizardo R. Colambo, the President of AMAES. The message of the chairman accentuate the students' everyday lives, the message also reminds the students that the people put their trust in Doctors - not to machines - that's why it is important for them to devote their lives in their noble profession.

This series of an inspiring message is followed by another. Mr. Allan Jose Reyes - the ASM Admission Supervisor - introduced the representative, Mr. Santosh Kumar Mishra the Second Secretary, Consular and Education, Embassy of India to deliver the message of the Honorable Mr. Jaideep Mazumdar, the Ambassador of the India Embassy in the Philippines. As Mr. Santosh reached the podium, we can sense the gratefulness felt by the Indian graduates and students who happen to have their pride embodied on stage. Right after Mr. Mazumdar's message, Dr. Reynaldo Sta Mina - the ASM Assistant Dean and a crowd favorite - introduced the last speaker who surely inspired the students to do better in their chosen field, the last speaker is Dr. Jose P. Santiago, the President of the Philippine Medical Association. Dr. Santiago filled his message with inspiring quotations from different figures and relate it to the ethics and philosophy of the medical industry. Dr. Santiago, emphasizes the following; the honor and responsibility of doctors to our society, the difference between caring and healing, the importance of continuous learning for professional development, and the Universal Healthcare Law also known as the RA11223 as the greatest achievement of the Philippine Medical Association last year.

The 40 graduates cherished their moment on stage as their names are being called, savoring the taste of honor and gratefulness. And of course, the graduation ceremony is not complete without recognizing the student who happens to not just finish his study but accomplish it with excellence - the valedictorian, Ankitkumar Jayantilal Acharya, Cum Laude. The valedictory address is one of the main highlights of the ceremony, contemplating the message from the crème de la crème. His address is very nostalgic, reminiscing those special moments he had with his classmates. You can tell the personality of the valedictorian through his wit. Laughter covers the crowd on the first half of his address, then he mentioned two important persons in his life that supported him throughout his battle - His mother and his girlfriend. His tone immediately switched from humorous to dramatic, his voice shakes fragile as a vase as he sends his gratitude to those two special people. For him, being a valedictorian is not just an honor to wear but it also has a huge responsibility to bear. He also sends his thanks to the AMA Makati Team for always finding a solution to all the conflicts they encounter. His speech ended leaving the house his philosophy of life, "Being strong doesn't mean you'll never get hurt. True strength means you'll never be defeated."
The graduates honored their classmates, professors, families, and friends by singing their chosen graduation song. The end of the program swiftly fills the rest with recollections to look back for. The sudden urge of innocence and gratefulness are projected in their eyes, but their smiles are saying a different thing, the laughter stretches and their wittiness never endure.
